MALEKIE, Bong County – The Bong County Health Team has announced that it will officially break ground on Friday, July 31, 2026, for the construction of a new County Health Team office complex in Malekie.
The project, valued at more than US$700,000, is fully funded by Liberia’s Ministry of Health and is aimed at strengthening the county’s health infrastructure and administrative capacity.
County Health Services Administrator Sam T G Siakor, said the modern facility will provide a better working environment for health professionals, improve coordination of health services, and enhance healthcare delivery across Bong County. He described the project as a major milestone and commended the Ministry of Health for its investment in the county’s health sector.
The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to be attended by Bong County Superintendent, Deputy Health Minister for Administration Hon. Martha C. Morris, Ministry of Health officials, local authorities, development partners, community leaders, health workers, and other invited guests.
The Bong County Health Team has invited members of the media, stakeholders, and the public to attend the ceremony, describing the project as a reflection of the Government of Liberia’s continued commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services.
