Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah has raised concerns about internal divisions within the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), warning that the party may struggle to return to power.
Speaking on OK FM on Monday, April 13, 2026, Fallah alleged that there is a “clear internal crack” within the CDC and claimed that the party has been overtaken by elite interests. He expressed doubt that the party would be able to bring former President George Weah back to leadership.
Fallah further advised Weah against contesting the 2029 presidential elections, suggesting instead that the former leader take time to rest and focus on his family. He said his comments were made with respect and sincerity.
The Deputy Speaker also voiced concern about what he described as a lack of transparency among current party leaders, warning that their promises may not be fulfilled. He added that grassroots members, particularly younger supporters, risk being misled despite their continued commitment to the party.
His remarks are likely to intensify discussions about the future direction and unity of the CDC.
