A senior authority at the Ministry of Agriculture, who prefers anonymity, has confirmed to Verity News that the first batch of a consigment of more than 300 pieces of modern agricultural machines is now set to dock at the Freeport of Monrovia in Liberia.

“Liberia is on the verge of another major milestone in its agricultural transformation as more than 300 pieces of modern agricultural machinery from the People’s Republic of China prepare to arrive in the country.

The shipment includes mini combine harvesters, front-end loaders, rice transplanters, tractor wagons, rotovators, power tillers, tractors, and other specialized equipment. These will be deployed to 13 Agricultural Mechanization Service Centers across Bong, Lofa, Nimba, Margibi, Montserrado, and Bomi Counties, bringing mechanized farming services closer than ever to thousands of Liberian farmers.” Ministry of Agriculture
