A renewed political feud appears to be brewing between former rivals Francis Nyumalin and Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah following remarks made by the Local Government Minister on OK FM.
Speaking during a radio interview, Minister Nyumalin distanced himself from the newly established political movement, NIMBO, reportedly associated with Deputy Speaker Fallah.
Nyumalin described Fallah’s decision to create the movement as one he must carefully examine politically.
“My traditional big brother, Thomas Fallah, the Deputy Speaker’s decision to establish NIMBO is a decision I, as a politician, have to use my microscopic eyes to view,” Nyumalin stated.
The minister then used a controversial metaphor, saying he would not be part of any political “dog-cat.”
“In the political world, when you want to be a dog, be a dog; when you want to be a cat, be a cat,” he added.
The comments have sparked debate in political circles, with many interpreting the statement as a direct jab at the Deputy Speaker and a sign of renewed tension between the two politicians, who previously shared a long-standing political rivalry.
Neither Deputy Speaker Fallah nor representatives of NIMBO had publicly responded to Nyumalin’s remarks as of press time.
