Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah has revealed that the Drug Cartel behind the US$19.2 million RIA Cocaine Scandal is seriously fighting back against the government amid ongoing rigorous efforts to ensure that the perpetrators are prosecuted.
Minister Piah alleged that the Drug Cartel is reportedly using Media institutions and other individuals to spread false and misleading information particularly to undermine ongoing investigation.
Piah also accused Media Institutions and Prominent individuals of being allegedly influenced by drug Cartel to manufacture fake news including Al-generated materials to divert the public attention from the real drug traffickers, which will allow the Cartel to escape prosecution.
But, Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensure that the perpetrators of the US$19.2 million Drug saga are prosecuted, stating that no amount of resistance by drug Cartel can hinder ongoing rigorous investigation.
