President Joseph Boakai has dedicated the new Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) Broadcast Complex, a major infrastructure project aimed at strengthening access to information across the country.
According to the Executive Mansion Press Bureau, the facility was constructed with support from the People’s Republic of China as part of ongoing cooperation between the two countries. The new complex is expected to enhance the capacity of the national broadcaster and improve the quality and reach of public information services.
The dedication marks a key step in government efforts to modernize Liberia’s media infrastructure and expand communication services nationwide. Officials say the upgraded facility will play a central role in promoting transparency, civic engagement, and timely dissemination of government information.
The Liberia Broadcasting System, the state-owned broadcaster, is expected to benefit significantly from the new complex as it continues its mandate of serving the public interest.
