GANTA CITY, Nimba County — The General Manager of Jungle Energy Power (JEP), Mr. Alieu Keita, has been accused by workers of engaging in nepotism and tribalism in the management of the institution.
According to a document currently in the possession of Verity News, Mr. Keita allegedly awarded several lucrative and senior departmental positions to individuals believed to be his relatives, including nieces, in-laws, and members of his ethnic group.
The positions cited in the document include, but are not limited to, Head of Power Shift, Head of Payroll, and Head of Procurement, among others.
When contacted for comment, Mr. Keita dismissed the allegations, describing them as a “made-up story.” During the exchange, he also reportedly directed harsh remarks at journalists seeking clarification on the matter.
Meanwhile, members of the public have criticized Mr. Keita’s response, describing it as a disservice and urging him to address the allegations in a more professional and transparent manner.
