SINOE COUNTY, LIBERIA — The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Sinoe County detachment, has arrested a 27-year-old female motorcyclist, Princess Baysah—commonly known as “Female General”—in connection with the alleged possession of illicit narcotics.
Baysah, a resident of Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County, was arrested on August 22, 2026, at approximately 10:15 PM at the Pyne Town Checkpoint during a routine inspection.
According to the LDEA Sinoe County Commander, Special Agent Thomas Saye, officers seized 518.6 grams of suspected marijuana from Baysah during the operation.
Following her arrest, Baysah was remanded to the Sinoe County Prison as a pre-trial detainee pending further investigation and court proceedings.
The arrest underscores the growing intensity of Liberia’s fight against the trafficking and distribution of illicit drugs as law enforcement agencies step up efforts to curb the narcotics trade across county borders.
Baysah remains an accused individual, and the allegations against her have yet to be proven in a court of law.
