A man who disappeared from Weebo Town more than a month ago has been found alive in a forest near the community, bringing relief to his family and residents.
Timothy Waker, who went missing on August 4, was discovered Thursday afternoon by Rufus Binda, a resident who said he heard someone calling for help while returning from his farm.
Binda said he stopped and moved closer after hearing the sound coming from underneath an old kitchen structure near his cassava farm.
He said he was shocked to find Waker, the same man whose disappearance had caused concern across the community.
Binda immediately contacted his wife, who alerted other residents. Community members then rushed to the area and helped bring Waker to safety.
News of Waker’s discovery quickly spread through Weebo Town, with residents expressing relief that he had been found alive after weeks of uncertainty.
