Monrovia–Liberia: Former Mines and Energy Minister Wilmot Paye has disclosed that his removal from the Ministry of Mines and Energy stemmed from him and his wife’s refusal to cover up the academic fraud carried on by Dorr Coper at the University of Liberia.
According to Wilmot, when the information about Dorr Cooper’s academic fraud came out, the Vice President allegedly called him and instructed that his wife who is a lecturer at the University helps in shielding the information to ensure Cooper is protected.
But, Wilmont Paye stated that he resisted telling his wife, suggesting to the Vice President to tell Dorr Copper to resign from his position as Commerce Inspector General.
Wilmot Paye noted that his refusal to conspire with his wife to shield the academic fraud scandal against Door Copper as instructed by the Vice President was one of the contributing factors leading to his replacement.
He made the allegation on Spoon Talk, late Tuesday.
