“Pointless Propaganda”: MOVEE Denies Claims of Kemayah’s Expulsion

The Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) has vehemently refuted claims circulating on social media regarding the suspension of its Political Leader, Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah.

The party, known for its resilience and commitment to its cause, has lashed out at what it calls “pointless propaganda” aimed at undermining its integrity.

Local media reports on Thursday, June 6, suggested that the MOVEE National Executive Committee had ousted Amb. Kemayah from his position as Political Leader, citing allegations of misappropriation of funds and the expulsion of key party members.

These claims, reportedly based on violations of the party’s constitution, stirred a frenzy of speculation within political circles.

According to sources, the decision to remove Kemayah was purportedly made in accordance with Article 19, Section 5(a) of the 2016 Bi-laws and Constitution, which grants the National Executive Committee the authority to take disciplinary action against members found in breach of party regulations.

However, MOVEE Acting Chairman, Prince Mehn, swiftly dismissed these allegations as baseless fabrications orchestrated by disgruntled individuals seeking to sow discord within the party. Mehn clarified that no formal decision had been made by the National Executive Committee to remove Kemayah from his leadership position.

Setting the record straight, Mehn affirmed that Kemayah continues to enjoy the unwavering support and confidence of MOVEE, categorically denying any plans for his expulsion. He condemned the spread of misinformation as a deliberate attempt to tarnish Kemayah’s reputation and destabilize the party.

In a defiant stance against what he termed as “greedy politicians,” Mehn reaffirmed MOVEE’s commitment to upholding discipline and unity within its ranks. He asserted that the party would not succumb to external pressures or internal strife instigated by detractors with ulterior motives.

Echoing Mehn’s sentiments, MOVEE National Youth Wing Chair, Winston Gaye, emphasized that Kemayah retained the full backing of the party’s leadership. Gaye dismissed the expulsion rumors as the machinations of malevolent forces seeking to sow discord and undermine MOVEE’s progress.

Meanwhile, a visit to MOVEE Headquarters on Thursday afternoon corroborated the party’s assertions, with normal operations continuing unabated. County Executives present at the headquarters reaffirmed MOVEE’s solidarity and condemned the dissemination of false information by expelled members intent on causing division.

In light of these developments, MOVEE says it remains steadfast in its mission to empower Liberians and advance its political agenda.

The party’s resolute stance against misinformation underscores its unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency, and unity in the face of adversity.
