Bong County — Representative J. Marvin Cole of District #3, Bong County, has signaled strong political alignment with Senator Prince K. Moye, suggesting he would support the senator’s bid for re-election in 2029 while downplaying other potential contenders.
Speaking over the weekend, Rep. Cole described his current political relationship with Senator Moye as cooperative, stating that both lawmakers are working closely together in the interest of Bong County.
“Prince and I are very good allies right now. We are working together,” Cole said.
In his remarks, the CMC representative also weighed in on possible future senatorial contenders, comparing himself and Edward Karfiah as potential successors but dismissing Karfiah’s suitability for the position.
“Out of the two of us, maybe Edward Karfiah and Marvin Cole, who could be a perfect replacement of Prince Moye if we were to contest,” Cole stated.
He further argued that Karfiah would not be capable of representing Bong County in the Liberian Senate, adding: “He is not the subject and material to represent this county at the level of the Senate. Absolutely, he is not.”
Cole also projected confidence in his own political strength ahead of the 2029 elections, insisting he would remain a dominant force in Bong County politics.
“I always reminded my supporters that 2029 I am going to be a formidable force. No man in this county can defeat me on the basis of money. It is not possible,” he asserted.
His comments have sparked political discussion in Bong County, particularly as attention gradually shifts toward the 2029 senatorial race, where alliances and early endorsements are expected to play a significant role in shaping the contest.
