Montserrado County District #8 Representative Prince Toles has fired back at his predecessor, former Representative Acarous Moses Gray, following Gray’s criticism of the deplorable conditions of public schools in the district.
In a sharp response, Toles referred to Gray as the “Chairman of Public Toilet Renovation and Construction, Republic of Liberia,” questioning his record of leadership.
“Is this what a leader with a good heart would offer his people? Get a job!” Toles stated.
The exchange follows Gray’s public appeal for urgent intervention at Lorma Quarter Community School, Tubman High School, and Slipway Community School, citing their poor conditions.
Gray also challenged Toles to use part of the US$50,000 in district funds he said the lawmaker received during the 2025 and 2026 fiscal years to address the schools’ conditions.
The latest exchange highlights growing tensions between the former and current lawmakers over public service and development priorities in District #8.
