Representative Hopeful, Bishop Nimely Donyen, renovates footpath bridge in Montserrado District #2

By Emmanuel Kamanda

A 1,400-foot wooden bridge connecting two communities in Johnsonville Township, New Life community and Kpanwin Community, has been renovated by a potential 2029 Representative Aspirant who is also a clergyman, Bishop Nimely Jarboklay Donyen. The project will be dedicated on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

‎The bridge was originally built by Bishop Donyen in 2021, but has since returned to a deplorable state, with citizens seeking repairs. Bishop Donyen says he will continue to make much-needed interventions to improve his people’s lives in District #2.

Bishop Donyen, who is now positioning himself to reportedly contest against Montserrado District #2 Representative Sekou S. Kanneh in 2029, is the first Liberian Bishop of the Independent Catholic Church of Liberia (ICCL).
