MONROVIA, Liberia: Opposition political leader Simeon Freeman of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) says his government would ban the sexual enhancement substance popularly known as “Brown Tap” if he is elected President of Liberia in 2029.
Freeman expressed concern that Liberian youths are increasingly focused on discussions surrounding the substance rather than competitiveness, innovation, and available opportunities.
The MPC political leader said his administration would take strong measures to eradicate “Brown Tap” from the Liberian market.
Freeman emphasized that his government would prioritize policies aimed at redirecting young people toward productive activities and opportunities.
“Liberians will look for an Atayee shop with a flashlight during the day and still won’t find it,” Freeman said, stressing his determination to eliminate the substance.
His comments come as public discussions over the use and availability of sexual enhancement products continue across Liberia.
