Samuel Jackson Faces Multiple Charges Over Wife’s Death

The Liberia National Police have formally charged Liberia economist, Samuel Jackson, in connection with the death of his wife, Toni Khumalo Jackson, a South African national.

Police announced that Jackson faces multiple charges, including manslaughter, negligent homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment of another person.

According to authorities, Toni Khumalo Jackson died on March 13, 2026, at the couple’s residence in Monrovia under circumstances that prompted a police investigation.

Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, April 2, 2026, Police Inspector General Gregory Cole disclosed that the charges were brought following findings from the investigation. He stated that Jackson’s alleged actions violated Chapter 14, sub-chapters A and B, Sections 2, 3, 20, and 23 of Liberia’s revised penal code.

Police have not yet released additional details surrounding the incident but confirmed that the matter is now before the court.

The case has drawn public attention given the circumstances of the death and the involvement of a foreign national. Authorities say further information will be made available as the legal process unfolds.
