Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that planned military action against Iran has been temporarily suspended amid ongoing negotiations aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East.
In a statement released Thursday, Trump said “serious negotiations” are currently underway and expressed confidence that a deal acceptable to both the United States and countries across the Middle East could soon be reached.
Trump disclosed that a scheduled attack on Iran set for tomorrow would not proceed for now. However, he warned that military forces have been instructed to remain fully prepared for a “large scale assault” on short notice if negotiations fail.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, raising concerns among international observers about the possibility of a wider regional conflict.
Analysts say the latest development signals a temporary shift toward diplomacy, though uncertainty remains over the outcome of the talks.
