LNP in River Gee Launches Safety Campaign for Motorbike Riders and Vehicle Users

By Ben T.C. Brooks

Fish Town, River Gee County – The Liberia National Police (LNP), River Gee Detachment, has initiated a safety enforcement campaign aimed at improving traffic control and minimizing accidents in Fish Town City.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Theophilus Toe Togba, issued an official warning to motorbike riders and vehicle operators, cautioning them against parking along the central point of the city’s main street.

According to ACP Togba, the persistent practice of parking along the main road has become a major traffic concern, contributing to road congestion and an increase in accidents.

“The main street is not a parking lot. This behavior is causing unnecessary chaos and endangering lives,” Mr. Togba stressed during a community engagement session.

He further urged all road users to comply with traffic regulations and cooperate with police efforts to ensure public safety.

The police say they will continue monitoring the situation and may take enforcement actions against violators to restore order and protect commuters in the city.
