Rep. Steve Tequeh Makes Huge Cash Donation to Support Teachers and Students in Riverces

Cestos City, Rivercess County – In a major show of support for education and community development, Representative Steve Tequeh of Electoral District #2 has donated over 60,000 Liberian dollars in cash, along with 25 bags of cement, to enhance learning and infrastructure in his district.

The donation was made on Sunday during the graduation ceremony of Darsaw TownPublic School, where Rep. Tequeh served as the guest speaker. The program brought together school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and local leaders who gathered to witness the academic milestone.

Addressing the graduates, Rep. Tequeh praised the teachers and administrators for their unwavering commitment to providing quality education despite ongoing challenges.

“Our teachers and administrators deserve to be honored for their tireless sacrifices to educate our children in the midst of difficulties,” he emphasized.

He further commended the graduating students for their perseverance and dedication to their studies, urging them to remain focused as they progress to higher levels of education.

In an effort to motivate and encourage volunteer teachers at Darsaw Public School, Rep. Tequeh donated 50,000 Liberian dollars to assist them in their work. He noted that volunteer teachers play a vital role in keeping schools functional, especially in rural areas where government-assigned teachers are limited.

The District #2 lawmaker also presented an additional 10,000 Liberian dollars to the graduating class to celebrate their achievement. He said the gesture was intended to encourage the students to value education and to recognize their efforts in successfully completing their academic year.

Beyond the graduation program, Rep. Tequeh extended his goodwill to Gboah Town, where he donated 25 bags of cement to support the construction of a new town hall—a project initiated by residents to provide a decent space for meetings and community activities.

The donations were received with immense appreciation by school authorities, students, and community members.

Speaking on behalf of the administration, the Principal of Darsaw Public School Saturday Zialu lauded Rep. Tequeh for always prioritizing education and development in the district.

“We are grateful for his continuous support. This donation will go a long way in motivating our volunteer teachers and inspiring our students to remain committed to their lessons,” the principal said.

Community leaders in Gboah Town also praised the representative for his contribution toward their ongoing project, describing it as a timely intervention that will accelerate the completion of the town hall.

Rep. Tequeh has over the years implemented various educational and development initiatives in Rivercess County, aimed at improving learning conditions and enhancing the lives of his constituents.
