Monrovia, Liberia – The University of Liberia (UL) has officially released the results of its 2025 Entrance and Placement Examination, following a major press conference held on Monday, August 18, by UL President, Dr. Layli Maparyan, in Monrovia.
According to Dr. Maparyan, a total of 12,516 candidates sat for the undergraduate entrance exams administered on July 12. Out of this number, 2,807 candidates, representing 28.32%, successfully passed. Meanwhile, 9,299 candidates ~ approximately 74.30% ~ did not meet the minimum requirements for admission.
In addition, 410 candidates (3.28%) had their results classified as indeterminate due to incorrect shading of their assigned examination numbers, a mistake that prevented their papers from being accurately scored.
Dr. Maparyan emphasized the importance of proper exam procedures and called for greater awareness and preparation among future candidates.
Exam Result Categories
The 2025 UL Undergraduate Entrance results were categorized into four main groups:
1. Successful – Candidates who scored at least 60% in Mathematics and 70% in English.
2. Unsuccessful – Candidates who scored below 60% in Mathematics or below 70% in English.
3. Absent – Candidates who registered but did not appear for the examination. The University acknowledged their status with warmth and encouragement for future attempts.
4. Wrongly Shaded – Candidates who improperly shaded their examination numbers, making their results unreadable.
Dr. Maparyan reaffirmed the University’s commitment to academic excellence and transparency, stating that the entrance exam remains a critical gateway for ensuring quality education at Liberia’s premier public university.
The University of Liberia encourages all candidates to check their individual results on the official UL website or visit the UL Testing and Evaluation Center for assistance.
