Since 5:00am, heavily armed police officers, along with Fire Service agents and Court Sheriffs, have been deployed to enforce an eviction order from the Sixth Judicial Circuit Civil Law Court.
The opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has accused the government of lawlessness, intimidation, and political repression.
“The heavy deployment of Armed Police at the CDC headquarters as early as 4A.M this morning is a clear demonstration of the level of lawlessness the Unity party government has sunk into. We have put the Minister of Justice and the Government of Liberia on notice. The government will be hel@highlightcountable for any harm to a single citizen,” Atty. Janga Kowo, Acting CDC Chairman, said on his Facebook page this morning.
