“They’re Selfish & Mean”, Former Liberia Council of Churches Chairman Blasts Boakai Officials.

Monrovia, Liberia – The former President of the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC), Bishop Kortu Brown, has issued a scathing critique of officials serving in President Joseph Boakai’s administration, labeling them as “mean, lazy, and selfish.”

Bishop Brown, who currently serves as the Presiding Bishop of the New Water in the Desert Assembly (NWIDA) expressed deep disappointment over the conduct of key government officials.

They are mean, lazy, and selfish,” Bishop Brown declared, underscoring what he described as a troubling lack of urgency and compassion in the leadership of the Unity Party-led government.

The outspoken religious leader did not mince his words as he criticized the administration’s performance just months into its term, warning that the hopes of ordinary Liberians may once again be dashed if those in power continue on the current trajectory.

Bishop Brown’s comments come amid growing public frustration over slow service delivery, alleged corruption, and the perceived failure of the government to live up to its promises of reform and accountability.

As a long-time advocate for justice, good governance, and social equity, Bishop Brown has been known for speaking out against excesses in government, regardless of which party is in power.
