GSA Deputy Director Implicated in Misuse of Staff Buses

Allegations have surfaced against Mr. Johnson P. Sloan, Deputy Director for Administration at the General Services Agency (GSA), for allegedly authorizing the use of official staff buses for non-governmental purposes.

The buses, meant to transport employees to and from work, were reportedly used to ferry non-employees to a burial program.

This unauthorized decision left numerous GSA employees stranded after work hours, forcing many to walk long distances or scramble for commercial transport.

Affected staff described the experience as both humiliating and exhausting, especially given their limited financial means.

Many of the workers impacted earn a meager monthly salary of just USD 150, making daily transport expenses a heavy burden.

In a country where the cost of living continues to soar, reliable transportation is a critical necessity for low-income public servants.

The incident has sparked public outrage and calls for accountability, with critics citing poor administrative judgment and misuse of government property.

“Government resources are not personal assets. This is unacceptable,” said one civil service union representative.

Observers say the situation also highlights deeper issues of internal oversight and weak enforcement of transportation policies within the GSA.

Employees are urging the agency’s leadership to implement safeguards that will prevent similar occurrences in the future.

However, several sources within the agency confirmed the incident to Verity News and expressed concern over the potential for abuse of power if no action is taken.

The Ministry of State and Civil Service Agency are being urged to investigate the matter and ensure appropriate disciplinary measures are applied.

GSA employees are calling for transparency and a swift resolution to restore trust in the agency’s management.
