Referee Peterson Leway was forced to call-off the women’s upper division match between defending champions Determine Girls and Ravia Angels at the Samuel Kanyon Doe practice pitch in Paynesville on Tuesday.
It followed an injury to Ravia goalie, who sustained an injury and said she couldn’t continue the game.
*As has been the case for two seasons, there was no ambulance or assigned medics to cater to the injured goalie.
Ravia started the match with 10 players and four substitutes but without a recognized or registered goalie as a substitute and were unwilling to convert a player to goalie to continue the match.
The champions were leading 3-0 after 17 minutes when Leway called-off the match.
Liberia Football Association (LFA) Vice President (3rd) Jodie Reid-Seton owns Ravia Angels.
The LFA will determine the outcome of the match in the coming days.
CAF executive committee member Mustapha Raji is the president of the LFA.
