As Liberia gradually moves toward the 2029 presidential and legislative elections, journalist Emmanuel Koffa has declared his intention to contest for the senatorial seat of Grand Kru County.
Koffa, who currently works at Arteenah Radio, made the disclosure during an interview with the Verity Online News over the weekend.
According to him, his decision to enter the race is driven by concerns over what he described as the slow pace of development in the county, particularly in the areas of agriculture, education, and infrastructure.
The outspoken journalist and former ELBC Correspondent is expected to challenge incumbent senator Nimene Bartekwa, who currently represents the county in the Liberian Senate.
Koffa believes that stronger representation and competitive leadership are needed to ensure that Grand Kru’s development priorities receive greater national attention.
