Speaking to Verity News in an exclusive interview, the father of a seven‑year‑old girl has broken silence over a horrific case of alleged rape in 72nd‑Kpelleh Town Community, Paynesville, saying his daughter is suffering severe physical injuries and urgently needs medical and financial support.
The girl, who is in kindergarten and was attending school at the time of the alleged attack, is said to have been raped by an elderly man only identified as “Moses,” believed to be in his fifties. According to the child’s father, the sexaul assault has left her in grave condition. This institution has obtained very horrifying photos and videos of the kid.
“My daughter’s entire private part is getting rotten on a daily basis,” the father lamented, describing the ongoing pain and visible deterioration of his daughter’s body.
The case was reported to the Zone 9 Police Depot in Jacob Town, Paynesville, but authorities have reportedly refused to arrest the suspect, citing the absence of an official medical report. However, doctors have allegedly been unable to conduct a full medical examination because the child’s private part is severely swollen and continues to deteriorate.
For weeks, the little girl has been receiving treatment at the James N. Davies Memorial Clinic in Paynesville. After a medical evaluation, doctors referred her to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Monrovia, where she is expected to undergo surgery.
Medical staff have warned that the delay in proper treatment has caused or could cause internal damage extending into her stomach.
The father has publicly appealed for assistance, including financial help to cover hospital bills, transportation, and ongoing care. He expressed fear that the family may not afford the costs of surgery and follow‑up treatment at JFK.
In response to the plea, District #5 Montserrado County Representative Pricilla A. Cooper has pledged to take charge of the hospital bills and support the family through the process. The lawmaker has vowed to monitor the case and coordinate with relevant medical and social‑protection agencies.
The girl’s family is now calling on the public, community leaders, and stakeholders to provide moral, social, and material support to help the child heal and to ensure that the alleged perpetrator is brought to justice.
