Verity News investigation has obtained multiple videos of a disturbing scene where an LEC technician, who is now hospitalized, was allegedly beaten while doing his work on the field.

Hon. Samuel Enders, Representative of Montserrado County District #6, is accused of obstructing the arrest of a power theft suspect and assaulting a technician of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) who had gone to do his job.

The incident occurred during the arrest of Franklin Warner, who was apprehended for illegal electricity connections. Rep. Enders, reportedly acting on a request from his wife, Mrs. Amelia Warner Enders, intervened in the process.

During the confrontation, Rep. Enders allegedly assaulted an LEC technician and damaged the technician’s phone as depicted in the video. The situation escalated when a group of bystanders intervened, leading to the severe beating of the technician, who is now helplessly hospitalized at a local medical facility in Paynesville.

Officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) later arrived and completed the arrest.

Mr. Warner has admitted to power theft. Authorities also confirmed that a meter found in his possession was stolen. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Mrs. Enders has reportedly made a partial payment toward the fine, but the case remains under investigation. This paper made efforts to reach Rep. Enders for his reaction but to no avail.
