The National Students’ Symposium (NSS 2026), organized by the Liberia National Students’ Union (LINSU) with support from the Ministry of Education, has successfully concluded in Monrovia under the theme: “Connecting, Inspiring, and Equipping Students to Lead Liberia’s Future.”
The multi-day gathering brought together student leaders and delegates from across Liberia, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue on key national and educational issues. Participants engaged in policy discussions, leadership training sessions, panel discussions, and collaborative working groups aimed at shaping the future of education and national development.
Throughout the symposium, conversations focused on critical areas such as educational reform, governance and civic engagement, innovation and digital literacy, entrepreneurship, climate and environmental sustainability, gender inclusion, peacebuilding, student welfare, and youth leadership. These sessions equipped students with practical knowledge and strategic insights to contribute to national progress.
A key highlight of NSS 2026 was the adoption of the National Students’ Symposium Communiqué and Student Action Agenda, a student-driven policy framework. The document aligns with LINSU’s Agenda for Reformation and Transformation (ART), the Government of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID), the national Education Sector Plan, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The symposium also strengthened collaboration among students, policymakers, academic institutions, and development partners, reaffirming the important role of Liberian students in shaping the nation’s future.
LINSU expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Education, partners, facilitators, county delegations, institutional representatives, and all participants whose contributions ensured the success of the event.
As NSS 2026 concludes, the message remains clear: the movement continues, and the future belongs to prepared, inspired, and united students.
