The United Methodist University Alumni Association (UMUAA) has announced plans to inaugurate its newly elected leadership in what the association describes as a major step toward renewed alumni engagement and institutional advancement at United Methodist University.
According to an official statement, the UMUAA Inaugural and Fundraising Program are scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church on Ashmun Street.
The event will formally induct a new corps of elected officials led by Emmett P. Coker as President-Elect.
Other officials to be inducted include James N. N. Fallah, J. Meekie Reeves Jr., Obediah Zonoe I, Felecia J. W. Dorbor, and Emmanuel Vessellee.
The Coker-led leadership-elect has pledged to roll out a renewed vision focused on strengthening alumni participation, mobilizing support for development initiatives, and advancing the long-term growth of the university.
Organizers say the inauguration will be coupled with a fundraising drive intended to support a pending alumni project, though details of the project were not immediately disclosed.
The Association is calling on alumni across Liberia and the diaspora to attend in large numbers and make meaningful financial contributions in support of the initiative.
“This marks a significant milestone toward institutional growth and progress,” the association said in its statement, positioning the event as more than a ceremonial transition, but a rallying point for renewed alumni commitment.
Following the formal program, an after-party is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. at D Calabash.
