“I’m Focused on My Destination” — Snowe Shrugs Off Kolleh’s Comments

By Abraham Copper

Senator Edwin M. Snowe of Bomi County has responded sharply to recent remarks made by Representative James M. Kolleh of Bong County, signaling a deepening exchange between the two lawmakers.

Posting on official Facebook account, Senator Snowe dismissed the need to engage directly with his colleague’s criticisms, using a pointed metaphor to explain his stance. “If you are going to your destination and decide to throw stone at every dog that barks at you, you will never reach your destination,” he said. “And so I wouldn’t respond.”

The senator’s comments suggest a deliberate decision to avoid escalating tensions, even as political rhetoric between members of the legislature appears to intensify. While he did not address the specifics of Representative Kolleh’s statements, Snowe emphasized his focus on broader goals rather than personal disputes.

The exchange reflects ongoing political friction between the two counties’ representatives, though observers note that such public disagreements are not uncommon in the country’s legislative landscape.
