Mr. Carr experience comes with over fifteen (15) years of committed and dedicated service of working with youths and students across the country. As part of his past leadership role, he had the opportunity of working with youths from his community level as leader and Montserrado Students’ Union – MOMSU as volunteer and Program Director.
He also served as the President for the Grand Gedeh University Students Association – University of Liberia (GGUSA-UL), Southeast University Students’ Union and Student Activist of the Student Unification Party – SUP at the University of Liberia.
As part of some of his youthful engagements, Mr. George P. Carr had the opportunity to work as the Youth Researcher Officer and Head for the Cohort of Young Writers at the Messengers of Peace – Liberia Inc (MOP) headed by Executive Director Ms. Gwendolyn Myers.
While at the Messengers of Peace – MOP, he diligently worked with youths and students across the country through the institution’s Youth Peace and Security Platform and demonstrated high level of leadership and support toward the growth of the institution.
One of his major achievements at MOP was the winning of the Nation Peace Prize Award in August 2018 along with team members.
In other development, Mr. Carr had the opportunity to work with youths across major cities in the nation’s capital as Supervisor on the Green City Project sponsored by the United Nations Development Program – UNDP under the Monrovia City Cooperation – MCC in partnership with Messengers of Peace Liberia ( MOP) Inc.
Also, as a trained youth in Youth Peace and Security, he also worked with the National Elections Commission during the 2017 general and presidential elections and 2020 Senatorial By-Election of Montserrado County to foster democratic values through a free, fair and transparent election process.
Mr. George P. Carr is a Former Debater of the Lux Debate Society and graduate of the A. Romeo Horton College of Business and Public Administration at the University of Liberia with a Bachelor of Science in Economics -major and Public Administration -minor.
After his graduation from the University of Liberia, Mr. Carr had the opportunity to work as Director of Program, Planning and Policy at the Liberia National Students’ Union – LINSU where he and his colleagues led many projects, programs and activities for the students across the Country.
Giving his vast youthful leadership experience and close relationship with young people across the country, he has been given the opportunity to serve as the Regional M&E Coordinator – Region 4 (Grand Gedeh, Maryland, River Gee and Grand Kru counties).
Mr. George P. Carr is a Researcher, National Policy Maker, Economic Community of West African States – ECOWAS Regional Youth in Sustainable Governance and Former Student Leader of Liberia.
