A recent graduate of AME Zion University, Oretha Koffah, has added another remarkable milestone to her academic and professional journey after graduating from the Liberia National Police (LNP) Academy and Training School.
Oretha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement with Cum Laude honors from AME Zion University on October 28, 2025, demonstrating both academic excellence and a strong commitment to public service.
Inspired by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently signed between the Liberia National Police and AME Zion University, she made the decision to pursue a career in law enforcement. Her achievement highlights the impact of strategic partnerships between educational institutions and national security agencies in creating opportunities for young Liberians to contribute meaningfully to national development.
On Friday, June 12, 2026, Oretha successfully graduated with Liberia National Police Class 47, marking another significant accomplishment in her pursuit of a career dedicated to protecting and serving her country.
Speaking about her journey, Oretha reflected on the passion that motivated her to take this path.
“I have always had a growing passion for law enforcement. After graduating from AME Zion University, I learned about the LNP training program and the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Police and my university. I immediately became interested. Many names were submitted for consideration, and I am grateful that I was selected. My graduation today from the LNP Academy is a testament to my dedication and passion for the field I have chosen,” she said.
Oretha’s success serves as an inspiration to other young Liberians, particularly women aspiring to careers in law enforcement and public service. Her determination, academic excellence, and commitment to serving her nation underscore the important role women continue to play in strengthening Liberia’s security institutions.
