Monrovia, Liberia – June 26, 2026 – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) on Friday recognized seven counties for their exceptional performance in drug law enforcement, presenting certificates of recognition for their outstanding efforts in combating illicit drug trafficking.
According to the LDEA, the honored counties recorded the highest seizures across various categories of illegal drugs during the reporting period from June 2025 to June 2026. The agency said the achievements demonstrate the counties’ commitment, vigilance, and dedication to disrupting the illegal drug trade and protecting communities.
The counties recognized were Grand Cape Mount, Sinoe, Grand Gedeh, Grand Bassa, Nimba, Grand Kru, and Maryland.
Speaking during the recognition ceremony, LDEA Chief of Leeward Precious Rue, who supervised the initiative, praised the professionalism and commitment of the county teams, describing their work as instrumental in advancing the LDEA’s nationwide anti-drug campaign.
