Richard Denteh, the man accused of murdering his late wife, Lorpu Kollie, a former resident of Kollitawolah Town in Bong County, has spoken to the media after being forwarded to Court by the Liberia National Police to face trial.
Speaking to journalists, Denteh admitted that he laid on top of the late Lorpu Kollie during an altercation but claimed he did not know which part of her body he stepped on.
He further alleged that his late wife had refused to have sexual relations with him for about a month, a situation he said frequently led to arguments between them.
Lorpu Kollie reportedly died after the alleged assault and is survived by three children, including her youngest daughter, Fanta Kamara.
The case is now before the court, where Denteh is expected to stand trial.
