Musa Willie Questions Government Response to Martin Kollie’s Recent Reports

MONROVIA, LIBERIA — Former President of the National Association of Bomi Citizens in the Americas, Musa Willie, has questioned whether Liberian law enforcement authorities will continue to consider information and investigative leads provided by activist Martin K. N. Kollie.

In a statement, Willie said that prior to Kollie’s month-long investigation involving Liberia National Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman, information and leads from Kollie’s previous investigative reports had been utilized by law enforcement authorities.

Willie also claimed that President Joseph Nyuma Boakai had previously publicly acknowledged and appreciated Kollie’s work, while individuals featured in some of the activist’s past investigations were subsequently dismissed or arrested.

His comments come amid growing public exchanges between Kollie and government officials over his recent allegations and calls for accountability.

Willie questioned whether law enforcement would dismiss or ignore information recently released by Kollie because of the ongoing disagreements.

He argued that information from media practitioners and investigative sources should be assessed based on its usefulness and credibility rather than the identity or status of the person providing it.

“If a criminal can be a useful snitch in an investigation, why can’t we value tips and information from registered media operatives?” Willie asked.
