MONROVIA, LIBERIA — September 22, 2026: Academic activities at More Than Me Academy on Ashmun Street were reportedly disrupted Tuesday morning after a court-ordered eviction was carried out at the school.
Hundreds of students were reportedly forced to leave their classrooms, with some said to have remained outside in the rain as the enforcement brought classes to an unexpected halt.
The eviction also affected school administrators, teachers and other members of the school community, with belongings reportedly removed from the premises and placed outside during the process.
Some school officials, parents and students said they were not given prior notice before sheriffs, accompanied by officers of the Liberia National Police, arrived to enforce the eviction order.
The students and their belongings were reportedly left exposed to the rainfall as the eviction process continued.

Residents of the area said the property dispute involving the school and the Montgomery family has existed for more than a decade.
