The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism, has clarified ongoing concerns, distancing the Executive Branch from the decision of the House of Representatives of Liberia to expel former Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
On April 15, 2026, forty-nine members of the House signed a resolution to remove Kolubah over his actions relating to the Liberia–Guinea border issue, citing a breach of his oath and allegiance to protect the country.
Following his removal, Kolubah accused the Executive Branch of influencing lawmakers to take the action against him, describing the decision as politically motivated.
However, speaking at the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing, Deputy Minister Daniel Sando rejected the allegation, maintaining that no external influence was exerted on the Legislature.
