Women in Charlesville Township, Lower Margibi County have voiced strong dissatisfaction over what they describe as an unfulfilled commitment made by Denis Bility, wife of Rep. Musa Bility and a prominent figure associated with the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC).
In an interview with Verity News on Monday, April 20, 2026, several women from the township expressed disappointment, stating that Mrs. Bility had earlier pledged to support them through vocational skills training programs and the provision of microloans.
According to the women, the initiative was intended to help improve their economic conditions and provide sustainable income opportunities for families within the community.
However, months after the initial promise was made, the women say there has been no visible effort toward implementation. They allege that repeated attempts to follow up with Mrs. Bility and representatives of the CMC have yielded no response, leaving many feeling neglected and disillusioned.
“We believed in what we were told and prepared ourselves for change,” one of the affected women said. “But up to now, nothing has happened, and no one is explaining why.”
The situation has reportedly intensified frustration among residents, with some describing it as a serious breach of trust. In protest, the women have announced plans to return any preliminary items or assistance they may have received from Mrs. Bility, emphasizing that they will not accept partial gestures without the fulfillment of the full commitment.
Community members say the issue goes beyond unmet expectations, highlighting concerns about accountability and transparency in engagements between political figures and grassroots communities.
The women are now calling on Mrs. Bility and the CMC leadership to urgently address their concerns, clarify the status of the promised initiative, and take concrete steps to honor the commitments made.
