MONROVIA – Liberian security practitioner Alfred Jahn Johnson, popularly known as Polozika J. Doe, has questioned the Liberia National Police’s explanation surrounding the dismissal of Police Officer 106 Johnny Bolar Dean over the ongoing drug seizure investigation.
In a public statement, Johnson said he welcomed the LNP’s decision to act against one of its officers but expressed doubt that the alleged US$10,000 payment was merely part of a conspiracy that developed after the suspects were arrested.
According to Johnson, individuals involved in large-scale drug trafficking operations rarely place trust in law enforcement officers they do not already know. He argued that the willingness of suspects or their associates to allegedly approach Dean within days of their arrest raises questions about whether there may have been a prior relationship.
Johnson called on investigators to examine the nature of the connection between Dean and the suspects beyond what he described as the official explanation, suggesting that a more comprehensive investigation may be necessary.
The Liberia National Police has not publicly responded to Johnson’s comments.
