A canoe traveling on the St. John River in District One, Bong County, has capsized, leaving a man and his wife missing. Their bodies have not yet been recovered.
Following the incident, family members of the two missing individuals reportedly went to the town where the canoe operator resides and allegedly damaged several houses.
The family members are said to be accusing the canoe operators of deliberately causing the canoe to capsize, alleging that the incident was a setup.
Meanwhile, Bong County Police Operations Commander (OPS) Chris N. Gono has confirmed the arrest of six individuals in connection with the ensuing disturbances.
According to Superintendent Gono, an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the canoe accident and the subsequent destruction of property.
