Bong County Attorney Confirms AFL Soldier in Prison Over Alleged Drug Possession

Bong County Attorney, Cllr. Jonathan Flomo, has confirmed to Verity News that Sergeant Peter Sergio Tycrane Coleman, an officer of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), is currently detained at the Gbarnga Central Prison following his arrest in connection with a large quantity of Tramadol reportedly valued at nearly US$10,000.

According to Cllr. Flomo, Sergeant Coleman stated during his initial statement that he was offered L$60,000 to transport the drugs.

Verity News has also confirmed that Sergeant Coleman has reportedly been dismissed from the Armed Forces of Liberia, pending further investigation into the drug-related allegations.

Cllr. Flomo said Coleman remains at the Gbarnga Central Prison because the alleged offense occurred in Bong County. He is expected to face the Court in connection with the allegations.
