Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane has won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, football’s most prestigious individual award, following an extraordinary 2025–26 season.
Kane recorded an astonishing 73 goals and eight assists in 65 appearances for Bayern Munich and England, establishing himself among the leading contenders for the prestigious honour.
The prolific striker enjoyed a successful campaign with Bayern, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup, while also claiming the European Golden Shoe as Europe’s leading league goalscorer.
His triumph makes him the fifth English player to win the Ballon d’Or, joining four previous English winners: Stanley Matthews (1956), Bobby Charlton (1966), Kevin Keegan (1978 and 1979), and Michael Owen (2001).
Kane also became the first Englishman to win the award since Owen’s historic triumph 25 years ago.
