EPA Extolled for Taking on “Liberia’s Most Notorious Cabal’, Bea Mountain

The Green Revolution of Liberia is extolling the government of Liberia through the Environmental Protection Agency for Leading a high power delegation to the “most notorious cabal in Liberia” Bea Mountain Mining Company (BMMC).

The group in a press release sends worlds of commendation to the EPA Team led by Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel Urey-Yarkpawolo.

Green Revolution of Liberia believes such move by the EPA is welcoming and set a path to keeping Bea Mountain Mining Company in check relatively to the institutions effects on affected communities.

According to the organization, they are moved by previous performance of Dr. Emmanuel Urey-Yarkpawolo in a limited time, enforcing closure on Conex MD SOW and Associates Slaughterhouse in Careysburg.

They believe the EPA Boss Dr. Urey-Yarkpawolo performance at the just ended Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), as well as the shutting down the operation of China Union due to several violations on August 28, 2024, among others as robust actions serve as deterrents to others.

The institution however sent a strong message to the EPA head, indicating: “We like to informed Dr. Urey-Yarkpawolo, this notorious international cabal company is in possession and operating within our county a deadly bio chemical name ciryinal which was first used at the First World War by Germany to wipeout the coalition forces”.

According to the, this human killing chemical has recklessly been handled in the past thereby causing serious diseases , bodily harm, severe cough to the inhabitants of the land, contaminating the people’s only source of drinking water with no punitive actions taken against then.

They termed Bea Mountain Mining Company (BMMC) as “criminal cabal company”, alleging to has it has disregarded every law of our land starting with the continued pollution of our environment, bad labor practices, none compliance with our liberalization policies laws governing opportunities for Liberian citizens.

The group believed BMMC has been regardless to adhering to provisions within the Mineral Development Agreement (MDA).

“Human rights violation, criminal exploitation of our minerals without MDA to cover new areas like Tewor and Pokpa districts, damaging of our roads and practically giving nothing back in return”. Green Revolution stated.

Green Revolution alleged that it is cognizant of the fact that the Executive Director General, that all predecessors including other senior officials of government were and are on the payroll of this international criminal group including former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former President Weah, former Pro Temp Albert Chie, former Minister of states now senator Nathaniel Falo McGill, senate Chairman on mines Mr. Simeon B. Taylor, former Minister of LM&E Gesler Murray, deputy Minister for operation among others.

They pointed out that Liberia is at the center of chronic and systematic corruption in the mineral industry and government is yet to muster the courage to lunch an investigation into how billions of United States dollars are been exported out of our country but yet we the people are still the poorest among other nations.

“We are dying from hardship, deceases, poverty and unbearable conditions of life, unemployment”, the group decried.

It is urging the EPA Boss’s to withhold his integrity, and not to be coerced, intimidated and bribed in the midst of constrained economic circumstances, appetite for wealth by officials of this rescue government.

“We ask you not to relent in exposing the numerous violations of our laws by this criminal cabal company”
