U.S. Congressman Chris Smith, a vocal advocate for justice in Liberia, has praised President Joseph Boakai for his recent action in signing Executive Order #131, which establishes the Office of War Crimes and Economic Crimes Court.
Congressman Smith, who chairs the US House Subcommittee on Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations, hailed the move as a significant step towards addressing the scars of Liberia’s civil wars.
