Reports reaching Verity news desk indicate that former Liberian President and Standard Bearer of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), George M. Weah, is currently holding a meeting with several representatives of the 55th National Legislature.
While the exact purpose of the meeting remains undisclosed, sources speculate that discussions may center around bolstering the Koffa Bloc.
Allegedly present at the meeting are Deputy Speaker Thomas Paygar Fallah, controversial lawmaker Representative Yekeh Kolubah, Bong County District #5 Representative Eugene M. Kollie, Gbarpolu County District #1 Representative Zinnah B. Norman, and Montserrado County District #9 Representative Frank Saah Foko, among others.
In a related development, Gbarpolu County District #1 Representative Zinnah B. Norman has clarified his presence in the Joint Chambers last Tuesday.
According to Representative Norman, his attendance should not be interpreted as aligning with the majority bloc.
Instead, he explained that he was there to urge his colleagues to ensure Speaker J. Fonati Koffa is afforded due process as required by law. He reaffirmed his unwavering support for Speaker Koffa.
