A prominent Liberian content creator and promoter has publicly criticized the head of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC), accusing the agency of underperformance and lack of tangible results.
In a strongly worded social media post, Ms. Rickslyn Myers Karr, CEO of BJS, questioned the leadership of LWSC Managing Director Mohammed Ali. She expressed frustration over what she described as minimal progress in addressing the country’s water and sewer challenges.
Karr argued that despite being one of the busiest public institutions, LWSC remains ineffective, claiming that even the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) — which she described as “worthless” — has delivered more visible results to citizens.
She further alleged that the agency’s achievements are largely limited to social media updates, rather than concrete improvements in infrastructure and service delivery. The remarks reflect growing public dissatisfaction over access to reliable water and sanitation services in Liberia.
Officials at LWSC have not yet responded to the criticism.
